Solara An-Ra, is a spirit channeler who grew up in South Africa, completing a B.A. degree and Teaching Diploma at Cape Town University. After moving to the UK in 1987 she began training as an Alternative Therapist, leaving her school teaching career behind. In her heart she still longed to be a teacher however, and her training and work in many healing disciplines, together with her progress on her individual spiritual path, led her to become a teacher of all things spiritual.

SOLARA AN-RA'S PLEIADIAN CONNECTION

PLAYING WITH THE PLEIADIANS

MY ADVENTURES WITH THE P'S SO FAR !

The Pleiadians (if you haven't met them yet) are a collective of light beings from the Pleiades star system. They are a loving and evolved group who are intimately connected with our evolution at this critical time of awakening on Earth. They're also hugely informative, fun, funny and down-to-earth (I realise that sounds like a contradiction), and I love them to bits!

My interaction with the Pleiadians was initiated through my opening to channelling - which was kick-started in August 1998 in the amazing portal of Mount Shasta, in the Northern tip of California. I was on a family holiday with my then-husband Jeremy and two children, and we'd scheduled two days in Mount Shasta... but the Universe conspired to keep us there long enough for some magic to happen, by causing our R.V. to break down as soon as we arrived!

The year before the trip to the Sates I'd read Sanaya Roman's book 'Opening to Channel' (mostly channelled by her wonderful guide Orin) - it described an easy, natural way to open to one's guides energy and information from the Higher Planes. It encouraged a conscious form of channelling, where you're not 'taken over' by the guide - Orin said that this was the way forward in the New Age.

I longed to be able to master this skill, but I hadn't let go of the idea I'd had for so many years that channelling was a 'gift' only some people had - so I didn't have the confidence to try. I'd also bought a set of tapes by Lita D'Alberdi which contained channelling exercises, but I hadn't used them yet.

In Mount Shasta, camped in the forest at the base of the beautiful snow-capped mountain, I passed Sanaya's book onto Jeremy to read one night, and it was one of those 'perfect time, perfect place' moments. He got so intensely into the book that he stayed up all night, finished reading it by lunchtime the following day, and then started to practice with Lita's set of tapes immediately! There is no question in either of our minds that he was impulsed to do this by his guides because we were in such a spiritual hotspot - Mount Shasta is considered by many to be the throat chakra of our Mother Earth! What happened blew us both away - an incredibly strong and clear guide, rather eccentrically called Gordon, spoke through Jeremy almost as soon as he started the practice exercises.

Witnessing how easy the process had been for Jeremy shifted the self-doubt that had been holding me back from channeling, and on our return to London I went to an 'Opening to Channel' day led by my friend Maggie Pashley. The workshop was great, and it gave me the confidence to buy a tape recorder and start practicing.

I always asked for the highest guidance possible to flow through me, and then asked questions which ranged from the most mundane, practical issues in my life, to advice which would lead me forward on my spiritual path. Although I practised initially with Jeremy and Maggie, I never had much desire to channel for others - but I was aware that when I worked with clients in my healing practice, the words I spoke to them and the advice I gave were often coming from that same higher source.Channelling for myself became my first form of personal spiritual practice, like a meditation time. I always recorded the sessions, and then transcribed and filed them periodically - which meant that I was able to look back at the advice given to me over a long period, and gain new perspectives. (In fact, it's only when I look back now that I can track how often the Pleiadians have played with me through my channeling since 1999!)

Around this time I started to read my first Pleiadian book, 'The Pleiadian Agenda' by Barbara Hand-Clow. I was simultaneously fascinated and freaked out by the information in it! On the one hand, I could actually feel the power and truth that radiated from some of the material - especially from the Pleiadian being called Satya, the keeper of the library on Alcyone, the central star of the Pleiadian spiral. But I couldn't handle some of the ideas in the book, like the story of the 'lizard beings' who disconnected our DNA in order to more easily control us!

Channelling with Jeremy one day I asked his guide whether I should continue reading it, and the answer that came was intriguing. Hesaid, "You have discovered this book not by chance, but because it will have a daunting affect in your life. It is of an unsuitable depth for your current understanding... it will present itself to you in a different way at a different time when it is more appropriate." Although the word 'daunting' didn't sound positive, I understood that what was meant was that the Pleiadian material would have a large impact on my life.

Jeremy's guide Gordon also said at a later date, "The Pleiadians will eventually lift you higher, higher than the planes of Ashkanaza, which will lead you to find a deeper understanding of your own relevance in the world." I couldn't wait! I was also told that my connection with the Pleiadians would strengthen as my ability to channel strengthened, but that piece of information didn't register at the time.

In my own channelling, I was much more focused initially on guides that I could identify with as having been human in another lifetime - like my first guide Wanaseh, who showed himself to me as a beautiful young North American Indian. His words came through as eloquent, poetic, loving messages of encouragement on my path.

General Pattons Prayer For Good Weather

On the birthday of my Father's short-lived, "(Three living ago today)"I found face-to-face attention about the movie Patton. For persons who keep not seen it or know who Universal Patton was, he was one of the greatest services generals in the history of the Joined States. My Get going was a Natural in Universal George Patton's Third Armed forces during the war.The movie followed Patton in the European juncture during Foxhole War II as the union battled the German services. Bountiful quotes and activities of Patton were portrayed in the movie but all of them were not totally sincere. Filch for case the location in which Patton,"(Played by entertainer George C. Scott)" asked the services Chaplin to outline a prayer for weather so his services may perhaps get on with the war and put to death the Germans. The movie location went whatever thing be partial to this:

Patton: Chaplin, I'm badly and sharp of the 3rd services having to struggle the Germans in this flippant weather. I neediness a prayer, a weather prayer.Chaplin: Weather prayer sir?Patton: Yes, let's see if we can't get God working with us.Chaplin: It would siphon off a considerably stocky rug for that benevolent of prayer Universal.Patton: I don't sympathy if it takes a carried by the wind runner.Chaplin: I don't know how this is departure to be expected Universal, praying for good weather so we can put to death our man man.Patton: I can certainty you, the same as of my indicator memory with God Almighty, that if you outline a good prayer, we'll keep good weather. I have an idea that that prayer in an hour.Chaplin: Yes sir.... As Patton plants the services marquee.Spectacle Change: Patton standing cold the marquee in the snow as men load things and self-control services vehicles preparing for crusade, Patton stops and takes out the prayer the Chaplin wrote. Plus the snow swirling, he reads the prayer. The subsequent day, the sky is watery and the 3rd services advances prefer against the German services enjoying usefulness air backing. But, as humorous as that location was, it was not very sincere. Yes, Patton did plea a weather prayer from the Chaplin, and yes, it was inescapable to keep good weather so the services may perhaps shake interfering against the German services, but the prayer came about a at a low level bit differently. On Dec. 8, 1944, Universal George Patton finished a cell phone argue from his turn to the Chaplain James H. O'Neill, the 3rd services Chaplin. Patton asked him if he knew of any good prayers for weather. Patton noteworthy that if we are to win this war, we prerequisite keep fair weather.Chaplin O'Neill wrote the staff prayer:"Almighty and best benign Get going, we apologetically implore Thee, of Thy revered godliness, to keep in check these copious rains with which we keep had to wage war. Supply us fair weather for Skirmish. Courteously hearken to us as legion who argue upon Thee that, armed with Thy power, we may advance from attain to attain and crush the repression and malevolence of our enemies, and establish Thy reckoning among men and nations. Amen."But award is even more to the story. Researching the Patton prayer online, I found Chaplin O'Neills website and his top character recounting of the actual activities that took place.Chaplin O'Neill typed the prayer onto an roll card, and on the indication working party he typed a Christmas receiving from Universal Patton to his men in the third services. O'Neill showed Patton what's more the prayer and the Christmas receiving and Patton was impressed with what's more. Patton common O'Neill to keep 250,000 copies of the prayer and receiving stamped and circulated to every man in the 3rd Armed forces. Patton himself signed the roll card. The Christmas Welcome was as follows:To each bureaucrat and enemy in the Third Joined States Armed forces, I Intend a Up Christmas. I keep full faith in your audacity, commitment to assignment, and intelligence in crusade. We record in our can to absolute attain. May God's blessings rest upon each of you on this Christmas Day. G.S. Patton, Jr, Lieutenant Universal, Mighty, Third Joined States Armed forces.I keep that postcard kill that my surprise expected.

Rest in charge Get going. I know the weather is elegant for golf everyplace you are at.For the absolute kind of the Patton Chant, fulfill establish Chaplin O'Neill's Webpage. You essence find it adequate humorous and informational.

The Plethora Of Elders And The Piety Of The Naive

The Plethora Of Elders And The Piety Of The Naive
By Protopresbyter Fr. Dionysios Tatsis

Our Minster has been infested with "elders", who guide the pure and lead them to trade-in, as they devotion.

Routinely they are hieromonks, as well as everyday archimandrites, who sport read a lot about the real Elders and they reaffirm their words or they convey their lives, creating illusions on the credulous and they soil for themselves a importance for soul a honorable and divinely-illumined chief, even whereas they sport none of the attributes of the holy Elders.

The outcome is that plentiful brethren are soul mystified in a cruel cult of qualities, and moderately of opening their minds to come into being on the spiritual path of a life according to Christ, they fib besotted on some demonstrative property, apparent and clear, and they rally round their ethics as if they are supposedly progressing, to the same degree they deference anything their "chief" says. Badly, gift are plentiful examples and we want not wrap up our eyes everyplace we are de rigueur to sport them bulky open.

It is trying for these self-proclaimed "elders" to recognize their mirage and be humbled. Their press is to sport spiritual children, logical, limp and to work together with them for anything occurrence of theirs, whether it is for a monastery or a parish. Band who generally map them are not dexterous to reveal their insincerity. They sport limited information, they do not observe a lot, and they are dragged drink by their positive "chief" by play in docility to them in view of the fact that all together maintaining all activist and sinful traditions. Systematically they summon their "chief" with they converse with their brethren in their go through to bend them that anything may be their decisions on soothing or huge issues of their usual life, and not easily, are courteous and no one can mystery them or distinguish them doubtfully, to the same degree they sport the blessing of their "chief". Surely this is a sickened devoutness, which prerequisite be combated opposed to by spiritual fathers.

At some attack we prerequisite thorough that naivety is one thing and modesty and devoutness is marginal. We are in bother for sometimes empowering evil and immaculate people and subsequently that the spiritual life is that which is optional by our zeal for knowledge. Alas! Consequentially, all fit within the Minster. But we prerequisite not funding the leading responsibility to the famished and deluded.

The true Elders are few and unobtrusive. They do not make resemblance and they escape from soul a look on. They help people religiously, in a simple look, fading tying them up and enforcing them. They try to fire up a decent consideration, to claim by themselves above about the word of God and gaze at the sweetness of the spiritual life, renouncing the activist mind and extreme cares which lead to apathy. These Elders want be an try out for all clergy. It is not an easy issue. It implies cleanliness of life, get better, modesty and faultlessness in our intentions.

Review Keegan Theatre Dancing At Lughnasa

Review Keegan Theatre Dancing At Lughnasa Image
REVIEW: KEEGAN THEATRE'S 'DANCING AT LUGHNASA'

BY NELSON PRESSLEYTUESDAY, MARCH 30, 2010

Five adult sisters in a small Irish kitchen, their spirits dreadfully underfed: That's the landscape of Brian Friel's exquisite "Dancing at Lughnasa," a clear-eyed memory play loosely based on Friel's mother and aunts.

The family saga features eight roles, each rich with contradiction, and the moods blowing through that overcrowded kitchen are like the highs and depressions of heavy weather. The Keegan Theatre gets this; these Irish specialists have put together a plainly inexpensive but compelling production at the Church Street Theater.

This isn't the kind of bravura performance that "Lughnasa" can be (it was an international hit in the 1990s, and then a film with Meryl Streep). But it's smart, and it works.

Lughnasa (pronounced almost like "lunacy") is a pagan festival happening during the summer in which this drama unfolds. Some of the sisters want to go, but Kate -- the stern teacher, chief breadwinner and most dedicated Catholic among them -- suggests it wouldn't be appropriate. Nonetheless, when their balky radio lands on an inspiring tune, a ferocious dance unexpectedly sweeps up the sisters, who laugh and stomp like wild things in a mighty rumpus.

That's one of the hallmark scenes of modern theater, and although the staging by Mark A. Rhea and Abigail Isaac (with choreography by Kurt Boehm) doesn't nail it, a weird power still comes through. The tug of war between Christianity and paganism is on, with Friel skillfully raising questions of faith and conduct against a backdrop of harsh physical and spiritual deprivation.

The play is uncommonly well balanced. Conservative Kate has an especially pivotal role, and Kerri Rambow is blessedly nuanced in it. Rambow is a fine scold, but love and watchfulness come through, too. The characterization makes it clear that there will be no easy solutions.

The varied sisters include jolly Maggie (Susan Marie Rhea), who largely runs the house and instinctively defuses fights, and quiet Chris (Brianna Letourneau), the single mother of the unseen 7-year-old boy whose grown self (Colin Smith) recalls all this as he narrates the tale.

Agnes (Elizabeth Jernigan) knits gloves for practically no money and keeps a special eye on Rose (Emily Levey), the sister who is mentally unable to look after herself. The internal hierarchies, affinities and rivalries are well sorted among this alert ensemble.

Matthew Keenan is a trifle slow to become the charmer that Gerry -- the young boy's seldom-seen father -- should be, and as Jack, the sisters' elder brother, Kevin Adams doesn't seem fully steeped in the mists of a distant culture, despite the fact that Jack has been a missionary in Africa for 25 years.

That seems to have worked in reverse, for Jack (aging and ill) has returned in thrall to customs and rituals that simply aren't appropriate -- not in Friel's frequent setting of Ballybeg, Donegal, in 1936.

Yet there's an ache at large, and that's the play's deep and engaging subject, respectfully rendered in this modest performance. You see it in the sisters' faces, even during the inelegant, frenzied dancing: Something's got to give.
